Location: Tuolumne County, California Client: Intake Screens, Inc. General Contractor: Syblon Reid

ESI provided structural/mechanical design and finite element analysis (FEA) for a six unit self-cleaning fish screen and track installation in central California. The intake screens were one of the crucial components to this hydropower generation project by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).

Signed and sealed design calculation submittals included the steel tracks and anchorage, stainless steel screens and manifolds, winch system supports, wire ropes, and wheel assemblies.

Structural analysis and FEA included deformation, stress, fatigue, and buckling
analysis of critical components subjected to hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and seismic loadings.
