ESI Engineering served as the vibration consultant to the design team for the new Heikkila Chemistry and Advanced Materials Science Building at the University of Minnesota–Duluth.  Primary services included:

  • Review of sensitive equipment and procedures to establish vibration criteria
  • Vibration survey early in design to document ambient levels at the building site
  • Structural dynamic analysis and design to control footfall vibration
  • Recommendations for vibration isolation of HVAC equipment and other sources
