Recently, Tony Baxter and Ryan Skoug of ESI presented “Noise Basics, Measurement and Requirements” at the 61st Annual Institute for Building Officials held at the University of Minnesota on Thursday, January 12th. In the forum, ESI led a informative discussion to educate attendees on the fundamentals of acoustics, understand the metrics used in evaluating noise, the environmental effects on levels, proper measurement techniques, review the Minnesota state statutes, and learn how the statues are applied.
